Welcome to the NetiZen News democratic citizen engagement project

The Electronic Commons / Agora Electronique ( http://www.ecommons.net ) project began in 1997-8 as the plaform for the Visionary Speaker Series, Canada byDesign: Building a Knowledge Nation Using New Media and Policies (archive site for the first year series canada-bydesign.net)

Now a panCanadian not for profit ( since 2000), we are continuing our diverse creative activities in this netizen news HUB space. Welcome to all. Please register, log in and look for or post notices on ongoing events and workshops.

Partners

The netizen news is a joint project of eCommons/Agora and the byDesign eLab. The project originated in 1997-8's canada by Design visionary speaker series, and in various subsequent incarnations.We are in reinvention mode for fall 2007.Current main partners in the consortium include McLuhan global research network, our patron alleyneinc, rogers communication centre which hosts one of our main project servers, oleg mitsura and associates, pixcode, dataparc, offline research, liss jeffrey and associates, and many more. The consortium and the board of directors for the eCommons/agora are developing plans, directions and the next moves.
